Happy Birthday!!

You are and will always be the one who first made me a momma. You are loved by so many and missed by so many. Despite all that you went through, you were such a happy little girl. We were so blessed to have you, even if it was for a short time. Today you would be 9 years old. Happy Birthday my sweet angel!

4 months

4 months:
Well baby girl, you are 4 months old! I feel like a broken record because I say it in almost every post but you are growing up way to fast! You are such a joy! You are hitting all your milestones, some a bit early, too, which makes your daddy and I so happy. We are so thankful you are growing and thriving.

This month you have started babbling so much more and laughing, too. You are able to push up on your arms. You work to get a toy that is out of reach and can bring it to your mouth almost every time. You are able to keep your head level with your body when pulled to sitting. You can now roll over both ways. I thought by now you would have your first tooth but not yet. It seems like you've been working on one for a while now. You had your first taste of food but I don't think you are quite ready yet so we will wait a few more months.

Your sleep is still erratic. You are starting to sleep in your crib during naps and bedtime which was a big transition for you (and me as well) but you did so well.

This month was also filled with some fun 'firsts.' You went to your first concert at The House of Blues to watch your daddy play in his band. You were mesmerized by the lights and sounds and looked pretty cool with your baby headphones! You are able to sit in the BOB stroller without your car seat now. And, soon you will travel on an airplane for the first time and get to see snow!

You are definitely a momma's girl and I love it! I love dressing you up in girly things and have an obsession with hair bows! I see lots of fun things in our future and I can't wait!

Momma's girl

Kaelynn, without a doubt, is a momma's girl!! Lately, I am finding that no one really makes her content like I do, not even daddy. This makes my heart so happy for several reasons (that is another blog) especially since she is our last baby. Saying this conjures up so many different emotions for me. If I was younger and didn't have to go through IVF to get pregnant, I would definitely have more babies. But, since she is our last, I never want to stop holding and snuggling her. I will never have another baby to hold, until I have grandkids...yikes!! The day will come, much to quickly, when she won't want to be held and will be off and running with her big brothers. So, for now, I hold her as much as I can. I am a 24-hour babywearing momma and I love it!

Local gems

Lately, we have been enjoying nature and taking advantage of the beautiful weather by visiting 2 beautiful parks in Redlands. Prospect Park and Caroline Park are amazing. They are filled with trails, vast open spaces and nature walks. The history of Prospect Park is pretty cool, too. Who knew that such beauty could exist in the armpit of America!! Ha!

Preston and Ethan are obsessed with going to Prospect Park and talk about it daily. We visit about twice a week and it's a short walk up the street, too.
